Tip of the Week
Well, it feels more like September than it does July! We would usually be getting an extra 20 yards of run on the fairway and the ball would be flying 10% further through the air - not this year.
When you are playing, remember to take at least an extra club when it's raining. The days are so changeable at the moment, you could be hitting a 6 iron 150 yards on one hot sunny day and the following day it could be lashing it down and only hitting it 130 yards.
The quicker you adjust, the better you will score. Remember, this could also happen during the course of a 4-hour round.

NLP for Kids – Unlock Your Child's Potential
I also wanted to let you know that as a NLP Master Practitioner I will be running workshops over the summer break to help children improve their confidence so they can perform better in exams, sports, and in life in general. The workshops have always been well supported and I would like to extend the opportunity to you guys. Over the last 10 years working with children, it is clear that ability and talent alone do not guarantee results; they need the right mind set for peak performance. The workshops are designed to be entertaining, inspiring, and ultimately leave the children with a real sense that they can achieve anything they want to in life and can enjoy the journey along the way.
The workshops will be running on:
- Tuesday 24th July - 9:00 - 16:00
- Tuesday 14th August - 9:00 - 16:00
Cost is £100 per workshop (£175 if you book both dates).
We understand the summer break is a great time for the kids to relax and recharge the batteries, so the course has been designed with this in mind. The workshops are designed for the ages 6 – 15 and the groups will be divided in two on the day: 6 – 10 and 11 – 15.

Yonex Custom Fitting Event
Monday 30th July, 13:30 – 18:00
Our next custom fitting event is booked in for the end of the month. We have organised for a Yonex representative to come along and he will personally fit you into the perfect Yonex club for you from their full range, with the use of the latest ShotTracker technology. This technology helps give you as much information as possible about the way the clubs are performing for you, including distance, height and spin rate, so you can be sure you are making the right choice before you purchase.
We are looking for serious interest in the day, as spaces are limited. As a result we will be operating an appointment system, from 13:30 until 18:00 on the day. Each appointment lasts half an hour or an hour for irons and woods. We will also be charging a fee of £25 to book an appointment; this, however, will be refunded if any club purchase is made as a result of the fitting.
